Dear friends, fellow musicians and dancers, as well as our callers,

It is truly with a heavy heart that I post this.

First, let me say that I have appreciated your support and participation.

Due to a clearly demonstrated lack of local interest, no new Hannibal contra dances will be scheduled, and the Nov/Dec dances are hereby canceled. There has not been enough attendance to offset the costs. Although I've spent the last several years putting a lot of effort into keeping them going, and keeping the NEMOFOTMAD identity alive and accessible, through the webpages, listings, and contacts online and in area newspapers, I can no longer do so.

Therefore, with the majority of the board's sanction, I declare the dissolution of the entity of NEMOFOTMAD, effective immediately. The remaining funds in the kitty will be donated to 'The Smile Train', plus a matching pledge by McUmber-House Computers, who, I gratefully acknowledge, paid the callers when the funds generated by the attendance were not enough. The disbursement of the few physical assets is pending.

The Monday Night Jam Sessions at Breadeaux will continue as folks choose to attend, but will no longer be sponsored by NEMOFOTMAD, and Dale and I will no longer act in any capacity there, except as occasional participants. We will, as of this notice, no longer act as contacts for that event, and will concentrate our efforts on our own band, RalūGerri. I will continue to publish and offer the Chord Book, though I will likely change the name from "the NEMOFOTMAD Chord Book" to something else. The name, NEMOFOTMAD is not to be reused, though a few items will still be available at http://www.cafepress.com/sassafrassgrove. The NEMOFOTMAD website will be left up for a short time with with this message posted.
