Want to know more about the worlds of Celtic and Old Time music? See these links:*All tunes are in the public domain except where noted. (If you see any tune included that you know, or even suspect is *not* public domain, please let me know ASAP. I put a lot of effort into identifying tunes, but I am not infallible.)The chords and changes listed for each tune are not to be considered the definitive model for any of the tunes. Like all music in a public performance arena, they are subject to "interpretation", and are therefor presented as a basic guide. Some may find the chords 'too simplistic', 'overly complex', or any other value that can be assigned, but in reality, they are each just one version of many for any given tune.
For guitar, 5 string banjo, mandolin, bass fiddle, accordian, autoharp, tenor banjo, cello, dulcimer, ukelele, bazouki, concertina, even piano. Celtic Chords, ITM chords, ITrad chords, OT chords, Old Tyme chords, Old Time chords, Ol' Tyme chords, Old Timey ... you get the idea. 8^) The term "Celtic" (pronounced "Kell-tick") refers to music in the traditions of the celtic countries - Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, Galicia, and areas of the maritime provinces of Canada. "Old Time" (or "Ol'-Timey") refers to the music traditions from the American Appalachians, particularly the Southern portion. Many tunes are common to both tradtions, as Celtic traditions were brought with some of the folk who settled the Appalachia Mountains.
